PhD in Management, Marketing
I chose Laurier for my doctoral studies because of the unique combination of faculty excellence, research alignment, and a supportive academic culture. Laurier’s marketing faculty are diverse in both specialization and methodology, offering me the opportunity to build a broad foundation while pursuing my own research interests. From my first interactions with the faculty, I was impressed by their openness to new ideas, encouragement of independent thinking, and willingness to provide mentorship. In addition, Laurier fosters a collegial environment that combines rigorous academic training with skill-building opportunities in teaching, writing, and career development. For me, these factors made Laurier the right choice to pursue my PhD.
My research centers on sustainability within consumer behaviour. I investigate the environmental psychology of consumers, specifically how consumers perceive and respond to corporate environmental and sustainability initiatives, and how disposal practices influence subsequent behaviours.
My goal is to obtain a tenure-track faculty position at a research-oriented university. There, I will advance knowledge in marketing and sustainability through research, teaching, and scholarly writing that influences both academics and practitioners.
