Laurier Community Hub

Laurier excels at creating a culture of engagement that develops the whole person and builds reciprocal community relationships. The Government and Community Relations team supports Laurier strategy for Thriving Community by working with campus partners to identify and build enriching partnerships with community organizations and local, provincial, and federal government officials.

The Government and Community Relations team serves as a point of contact for our community. We are a bridge between Laurier and its communities. To discuss partnerneship opportunties with Wilfrid Laurier University, please contact our team at community@wlu.ca.

In this community hub, you will find resources from Laurier leaders on everything from education, staying fit from your living room and thought leadership to online music performances and staying on top of your professional development. Resources and events will be added regularly so please visit often.

Laurier Supports its Communities

United Way

For over 30 years, Laurier staff, faculty and retirees have banded together to support our communities through Brant United Way and United Way Waterloo Region Communities. Laurier's partnership with United Way helps foster positive community relations, providing a big impact on individuals accessing these services.

Faculty and staff can log in to Connect for information on how to support Laurier's United Way campaign.

Canadian Blood Services

Laurier has joined forces with Canadian Blood Services as a Partner for Life. Every calendar year Laurier makes a pledge of blood donations. Since joining the program in 2010, Laurier has contributed more than 2,500 blood donations. Book to donate blood and add Laurier's partner ID: WILF001529 to be counted toward Laurier's total donation goal.

Our Laurier Community Campaign

Laurier faculty and staff support the community through the "Our Laurier" community campaign.
