Print | PDFLaurier’s Faculty of Music is proud to present Voice Lab High School Student Day on Saturday, May 11. This is a unique workshop for high school student singers.
Voice Lab High School Day will include:
Students will work with Laurier faculty members Kimberly Barber and Lorin Shalanko.
Students must bring two prepared pieces with at least one in English. Please bring two copies of your music. One for our faculty members and one for our accompanist.
A $50 fee per student will be charged. Students must bring this with them upon arriving. Cash or cheque accepted.
Teachers are welcome to audit the day at a price of $25. Please contact choosemusic@wlu.ca if you would like to audit.
9:30 a.m. - Meet and Greet
10 a.m. - Group technique class including yoga for vocalists
11 a.m. - Body Mapping for breathing structures
12:30 p.m. - Lunch provided by Laurier
1:30 p.m. - Masterclass with Kimberly Barber and accompanist Lorin Shalanko
3 p.m. - Q&A
