Co-op for User Experience Design Students

students-studying-co-op-banner.jpg

As a Laurier User Experience Design (UXD) student, you will gain in-depth knowledge of design thinking, information architecture, interface design, interaction design, usability testing and product research and development.

During your extended work term, you'll develop strong technical skills in lab and studio environments and can apply your skills in industry, government or community organizations.

How User Experience Design Co-op Works

Co-op allows you to develop skills and gain real-world experience while completing paid work terms.

You are required to apply for admission to co-op at the beginning of third year and participate in a competitive entry process. Employers begin recruiting students for co-op positions in January for work terms that start in May.

If you are admitted to co-op, you will get assistance with career planning, job search and interview preparation through the Fundamentals of Co-operative Education course. You will then apply to job postings and attend interviews.
