Filming notice: Brantford filming project to involve street closures

The City of Brantford and Wilfrid Laurier University will host a film production in and around One Market from Aug. 25 to 27.

Exterior filming is planned at 32 Market St. (the building opposite One Market on the southwest corner of Market and Dalhousie streets) on Aug. 26 from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. During this time, access to One Market will be limited to the building’s George Street and Colborne Street entrances. There will also be increased activity in the lobbies of SC Johnson and the Research and Academic Centre (RAC), which will serve as holding areas for cast and crew.

The filming activity will also impact access to some streets.

Road and sidewalk closures on Aug. 26 from 12 a.m. to 11 p.m.:

• Dalhousie Street between Clarence and Queen streets
• Market Street (and walkway) between Darling and Colborne streets
• Darling Street between Market and Charlotte streets
• George Street between Wellington and Dalhousie streets
• Charlotte Street between Darling and Colborne streets

Pedestrian access will be permitted between takes, under the direction of film location support staff. Staff and faculty with Laurier parking permits will continue to have access to Laurier parking lots.

Members of the Laurier community are encouraged to keep these disruptions in mind when planning travel to and from campus.
