Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Hey future Golden Hawks!

My name is Natalie Reis, and I am a fourth-year Music Therapy major with a minor in French and Psychology. I’m so excited that you’re considering Laurier to be your future home away from home, because that’s exactly what this school is for me. Memories of my first week at Laurier still seem fresh, maybe because my three years have gone by so fast, but perhaps it’s because it’s a week that changed my life. I remember being nervous that I wouldn’t adjust to an entirely new environment, but the Laurier community was more than welcoming. The overwhelming school spirit and amazing student body made the transition so easy.

In my three years at Laurier, I have had the opportunity to become involved with things I love, which have made my passion for the school grow even more. I have had the chance to attend and participate in the famous Wilf’s Open Mic nights, as well as a campaign team for the Students’ Union presidential election. I have also gotten involved in intramural sports, including soccer and inner tube water polo (a sport I had never played before university!).

Every day when I walk around campus, I find another reason to love Laurier even more than I already do. I hope that when you come to visit our campus, you’ll see why I’ve fallen in love. Choosing a university is a big decision, but follow your instinct and you’re sure to get the most out of your education.

I can’t wait to meet you!
