Join us at Laurier

Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Hey future Golden Hawks!

My name is Morgan McMullen, and I am currently in my fourth year of Honours Biology and Psychology. To me, Laurier is the best home away from home I could have asked for. The spirit and pride that this school has is unlike any other, and therefore, there is no place I would rather be.

Laurier has provided me with so many wonderful opportunities to get involved and be a part of the community. In my first year here, I participated in intramurals on many different teams, which allowed me to meet lots of new people and stay active throughout the year. In my second year, I became an intramural referee as well, and now, in my third year, I am the inner-tube water polo referee-in-chief. I have also furthered my Laurier involvement by volunteering as an orientation week icebreaker to help incoming Laurier students make this school feel like home too.

I cannot even describe how amazing and special this school is to me! The atmosphere that Laurier provides is everything you would ever want and more. Endless opportunities and experiences are the key to making school about more than just education. Laurier is the kind of place where you can make genuine, lastly friendships just like I have, which has greatly enriched my life and my time here at Laurier. I hope that you get the chance to experience the love that this school has to offer too by choosing Laurier and becoming a part of our family.

May good luck be your friend in all that you do!
