I received an Honours Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto, studying with Charles Daellenbach.
I was a member of the National Youth Orchestra, Canadian Opera Company and have been principal tuba of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony and Canadian Chamber Ensemble since 1975. I have taught at Inter-Provincial Music Camp and Banff Festival of Youth Orchestras
The Canadian brass tubaist Charles Daellenbach was my university instructor. He made me feel like playing a brass instrument was the most wonderful and fulfilling thing a person could do in life. My goal as a tuba and euphonium teacher has always been to inspire my students the same way.
