The Lazaridis Master of Finance (MFin) degree is designed to help you pursue a career in finance in positions that demand both extensive finance knowledge and excellent quantitative research skills.

Our full-time MFin program is offered in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada's best technology ecosystem. You can choose to pursue our full-time, one-year degree, or Canada's largest co-op program, which is 20 months (two four-month co-op work terms). MFin students typically work in the financial sector with 80% of our co-op work terms in companies within the Great Toronto Area.

Students in the Lazaridis School are uniquely positioned to manage the Laurier Graduate Student Investment Fund (LGSIF). The structure of LGSIF is designed to provide real-world experience to graduate students in investment and wealth management, using real money.
The Lazaridis MFin is a member of the CFA Institute University Recognition Program. You can prepare for all three levels of the CFA examinations while you work toward completing the MFin degree.
