On Jan. 22, the federal government unveiled a new and updated Canada’s Food Guide, which encourages Canadians to consume more plant-based foods and less meat and dairy.
Wilfrid Laurier University has several experts available to speak about this topic.
Alison Blay-Palmer, associate professor in Laurier’s Department of Geography and Environmental Studies and director of the Laurier Centre for Sustainable Food Systems, is an expert in resilient food systems and sustainable communities. Andrew Spring is a research associate and an adjunct professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies. His research focuses on issues of food security and the impact of climate change on communities in the Northwest Territories.
