If you are a new student please email laurierstringacademy@wlu.ca to be paired with an instructor before filling in the registration form.
To register please arrange with your instructor a mutually agreeable time slot for the coming year. Following this conversation please complete the online registration form.

In-person participation on Laurier's campuses requires all participants and attendees to adhere to Wilfrid Laurier University's COVID-19 health and safety protocols.
Laurier String Academy fees cover the cost of accompanists for group classes and concerts. Any additional time spent with a Laurier String Academy accompanist must be paid directly to the accompanist by the family based on a disclosed hourly rate.
If you wish to discontinue lessons for the winter/spring term, a request must be made in writing no later than December 1st. Remaining tuition fees will be refunded to you minus a $250 deposit.
After that date, no refunds will be made.
Extended illness or other compassionate reasons for withdrawal will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Conforming with the guidelines of the of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association, there will be no adjustment for missed lessons at any time. Lessons missed by instructors will be rescheduled during make-up weeks in June, or at a mutually convenient time. In the case of extended teacher illness, LSA will provide a replacement instructor to deliver the lessons.
"A child is excused from attendance at school if he/she is absent from school for the purpose of receiving instruction in music and the period of absence does not exceed one-half day in any week."
The School Administration Act, Section 6, Subsection 2.
Students studying with the Royal Conservatory of Music or Conservatory Canada may be eligible to earn credits toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Ask your instructor for details.
The LSA will be closed and lessons cancelled when Wilfrid Laurier University has officially closed for the day. In each case the closure announcement and reopening time will be communicated to you by the instructor. Lessons cancelled due to severe weather events will be rescheduled during make-up weeks in June, or at a mutually convenient time.
