Our well-trained, fully qualified Beckett School at Laurier instructors offer lessons for students at any age, at any skill level.
Fill out our Lesson Inquiry Form, and we'll help you find the teacher that is right for you!
After filling out the form, we will be in touch. Registration is completed online via a secure portal. We will send this information to you when you are ready to register.
In addition to lesson and camp rates, there is a non-refundable registration fee of $35. Laurier faculty and staff can take advantage of a reduced registration fee of $20.
Instructor Biographies and Rates
Note: Music books are not included in the instructor rates.
Term 1 payment must be submitted at the time of registration. Methods of payment include e-transfer, cash, or cheque (payable to Wilfrid Laurier University). Credit card payments can be made when paying for all 4 terms in one payment.
Cheques payable to Wilfrid Laurier University must be dated as follows:

Note: There will be a $35 charge for non-sufficient funds or returned cheques. No refunds are available once the corresponding cheque has been cashed. If payment is made by e-transfer, no refunds are available mid-term. Virtual lessons remain an option for all students.
Trial lessons can be booked with available teachers. All trial lessons are $30 for 30 minutes of instruction.
"A child is excused from attendance at school if he/she is absent from school for the purpose of receiving instruction in music and the period of absence does not exceed one-half day in any week."

Students studying with the Royal Conservatory of Music or Conservatory Canada may be eligible to earn credits toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Ask your instructor for details or contact beckettschool@wlu.ca.
The Beckett School at Laurier will be closed in the event of severe weather when normal operation would pose a significant danger to faculty, staff and students. Wilfrid Laurier University which includes the Beckett School at Laurier may close for the morning, afternoon, evening or for the entire day. In each case the closure announcement and reopening time will be communicated to you by your teacher, on the Beckett School at Laurier phone message as well as on our website. Lessons missed due to school closure will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.
In conformance with the guidelines of the of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association, there will be no adjustment for missed lessons at any time. Lessons missed by the teacher will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time. In case of extended teacher illness, the Beckett School at Laurier will provide a replacement teacher to deliver the lessons.
