Welcome from the Senior Executive Officer

Wilfrid Laurier University’s Brantford campus is a special place. It exists thanks to local grassroots advocacy for postsecondary education, and a unique partnership with the city of Brantford.

In its more than 20-year history, the campus has grown thanks to a unique mix of innovative programs, exceptional faculty, and an abiding commitment to community-based partnerships. The Brantford campus is known for its thriving community culture where innovation is driven by a strong desire to make the world around us a better place.

As senior executive officer, I act as a bridge between the campus and the community. It is my pleasure to represent our president and vice-chancellor, Deborah MacLatchy, and advance the university’s academic and strategic mission in Brantford.

To date Laurier has played a key role in transforming downtown Brantford through adaptive reuse of underutilized structures, development of new, award-winning buildings, and by infusing the downtown with the energy and impact of our students, faculty and staff.

As we look to the future, more exciting investments are being made in our Brantford campus, creating new academic, research, social and cultural opportunities. The redevelopment of the One Market building, increase in internationalization, and drive to grow our student population make this an incredibly exciting time at Laurier Brantford. It’s my absolute privilege to play a part in this next phase of enhancements that will benefit our students, grads, and community partners.

Please take a look at our current projects and future plans. If you would like to meet and discuss our vision and what’s in the works, please do not hesitate to reach out!
